“Well, he sold me” – Ex-Brighton star warns Chelsea players about ‘authoritative’ Graham Potter

Chelsea’s newly recruited manager Graham Potter has been cautioned against by former Brighton midfielder Dale Stephens.

Stephens praised Potter, who formally took Thomas Tuchel’s position as Chelsea coach on Thursday, and added that he marketed him as being authoritative.

When questioned about Potter’s ability to lead and make difficult choices for Chelsea, Stephens responded, Well, he sold me. He is definitely a manager of today.

He has his own playing style and ways of doing things. For Chelsea and the important tasks, he is the ideal candidate. He is always in the running for the top positions when vacancies for Champions League clubs arise.

He continued, “He has excellent judgment and communicates his ideas clearly. He asserts himself but does so in a way that suits him. Regardless of the news, he is honest and level-headed. I believe that’s something that players value, and I’m confident that’s a good thing for him
