The Catalans faced their first league defeat of the season the last match-day, against arch-rivals Real Madrid. They need a quick return to form, and will try their absolute best at home this Thursday to secure a huge win against Villarreal, who are on a long winless stretch. 

The Yellow Submarines registered just three wins in total so far, and only one of those came in the past five match-days. And this victory came against the dead-last placed Elche.

Their unbeaten run, and their impressive defensive stats were absolutely butchered by arch-rivals Real Madrid. 

As such, the Catalans are desperate. Count on them to go after a win at any cost against the struggling Villarreal. It helps that they are at home.
