AC Milan vs Dinamo Zagreb
UEFA Champions League
Date: 14 September 2022, Wednesday
Kick-off at 17:45 UK / 18:45 CET
Venue: Stadio Giuseppe Meazza (Milano).

Dinamo Zagreb enjoyed their moment of glory on the opening day of the UEFA Champions League group stage, beating Chelsea 1-0 last week in Croatian capital.

The Croatian champions produced a mature and very strong overall performance against the English heavyweights, limiting the out-of-form Blues to very few clear-cut openings at Stadion Maksimir.

Dinamo Zagreb will now be hoping to take another huge scalp this Wednesday when they travel to Stadio Giuseppe Meazza to take on Italian champions AC Milan in Week No 2.

AC Milan will be looking for their maiden win in the competition having drawn 1-1 away at RB Salzburg last Tuesday.

They got off to a fine start to their title defense quest in Serie A, winning four and drawing two of the inaugural six rounds in the new season.

I Rossoneri showed their winning mentality once again at the weekend, beating Sampodoria 1-2 on the road as Olivier Giroud found the late winner while his team had ten men on the pitch.

Rafael Leao, who is probably the most in-form AC Milan player at the beginning of the season, got sent off at Stadio Comunale Luigi Ferraris and will skip the next domestic game.

Nevertheless, we fancy Leao, who is his team’s joint-top scorer in Serie A this season with three goals in six outings, to score anytime here against the Croatian underdogs.

AC Milan vs Dinamo Zagreb Head-to-head

  • These two teams met each other 22 years ago in the third qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League.
  • AC Milan advanced with two easy wins, netting three goals in each home and away fixture against Dinamo Zagreb.

AC Milan vs Dinamo Zagreb Prediction

AC Milan will be highly motivated to get their maiden Champions League win here against Dinamo Zagreb. Knowing the hosts will take their rivals seriously after their win over Chelsea on the opening day, we can hardly see a positive outcome for the Croatian outfit here.

AC Milan are 1.80 to have the lead at the half time and win the match at the end, while we also like Rafael Leao to score anytime for I Rossoneri at the 2.30 odds.
