Trevoh Chalobah Is Underrated At Chelsea Despite His Apparent Improvements

Trevoh Chalobah wanted to leave Chelsea last summer in order to get more playing time. Despite busting into the major scenes last season under Thomas Tuchel as the German Gaffer handed the Cobham Academy graduate his Chelsea, Premier League and Champions League debuts, the England International wasn’t a first team Player.

After losing Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger last summer, one would have thought that it’s time for Trevoh Chalobah to finally grab a spot in Chelsea lineup but the Blues went to sign Marc Cucurella, Kalidou Koulibaly and Wesley Fofana.

The prompted the England International to be seeking for an exit but the West London club managed to convince him to stay.

If Chelsea had allowed Trevoh Chalobah to leave last summer, the Blues would have been in a precarious situation due to Wesley Fofana, Reece James and Kalidou Koulibaly’s injury.

Some Chelsea Fans Even believed that if Trevoh Chalobah was at another club last season, Chelsea might be Willing to drop money to buy him but because he came from Chelsea Academy, he doesn’t get all the plaudits that he deserve.

Trevoh Chalobah is into his second season at Chelsea first team and he’s yet to taste any defeat in all the games that he has started since he made his debut last season.

Game after game, Trevoh Chalobah continues to develop. The Chelsea Central-back is improving his progressive passing style and his confidence and calmness in buildup plays are also commendable.
