Thomas Tuchel tipped to sign Eden Hazard and three other players for Chelsea

Ahead of the January transfer window, Chelsea are tipped to sign four players including Eden Hazard

Chelsea’s early season form seems to have wilted slightly in recent weeks.

Thomas Tuchel’s men sat top of the tree after 11 matches, now 19 games into the season, the Blues find themselves third, level on points with Liverpool and six points behind high-flying Manchester City.

Chelsea’s recent form have been hampered due to an ever-growing list of absentees due to injuries and positive Covid cases, the likes of Kai Havertz, N’Golo Kante, Romelu Lukaku had all been missing parts of the season. And Ben Chilwell’s season look to be over after sustaining an ACL injury against Juventus in November.

In the hope of rediscovering the early season form, Tuchel could be tempted to dive in the market to add fresh faces to the club to fuel their fast fading title challenge.

We have had a look at the latest odds on SkyBet to see who Chelsea are tipped to sign.

Lucas Digne – 2/1

With the season ending ACL injury to Ben Chilwell, a left back signing is for sure high on the agenda for Thomas Tuchel in order to provide competition to Marcos Alonso.

Lucas Digne has gone out of favour at Everton and Rafa Benitez could cash in on the Frenchman in order to invest in the Toffee’s side to improve their current form.

Digne boasts a wonderful left foot that could be vital in both open play and dead ball situations.

Gini Wijnaldum – 6/1

The Netherlands international’s move to PSG after leaving Liverpool hasn’t gone as well as he had hoped, poor form and limited minutes on the pitch has led to Wijnaldum contemplating a move away from the French giants.

Wijnaldum will add a wealth of Premier League experience and the knowhow to win to the current Chelsea squad, with his energy in the middle of the park a main attraction for Chelsea to make a move for the dutchman.

Declan Rice – 7/1

Former Chelsea youngster Declan Rice has blossomed into a fine player since leaving Chelsea for West Ham back in 2014. And his form this season has increased the attention on the England international.

West Ham however, are in no mood to entertain offers for Rice, with his contract still having three years to run. The Hammers will be the upper hand in their fight to keep hold of the midfielder.

A stern offer could test West Ham’s owners but a move in January looks unlikely with David Moyes’ men still in the hunt for European football.

Eden Hazard – 8/1

Fans favourite Eden Hazard could be set for a stunning return to Stamford Bridge.

The Belgium international has endured an injury ravaged time and struggled to rediscover the form that led to his £100 million Real Madrid move in 2019. The 30 year old has been linked with a move back to English football to reignite his career.

Chelsea face competition from West Ham(6/1) for the signature of Hazard but sentiments surely will give the Blues the edge in the race to sign the winger

Please I’ll be definitely delighted if Chelsea succeed in signing Adama Traoré from Wolverhamton. We need a very sharp winger for the efficiency of our strikers.
