Vinicius Jr. of Real Madrid has Thiago Silva’s support after the Brazilian was warned not to perform his signature dance celebration.

On September 18, Los Blancos face Atletico Madrid, a cross-city adversary, and the stakes have been upped in anticipation of the significant match.

What would happen if Vinicius performed the Samba dance to celebrate a goal, according to Atletico captain Koke?

He answered:

“He (Vinicius) will carry out his desired action if he scores a goal and chooses to dance. Everyone is entitled to their own identity and means of celebrating success, but there would undoubtedly be conflict. The most natural thing to do would be that.

It followed criticism of the Brazilian forward’s celebration during Real Madrid’s 4-1 victory against Mallorca the previous time around.

Javier Aguirre, the manager of Los Piratas, was irritated by the winger’s antics.

Silva, the captain of Chelsea, has defended the offensive player, stating on his Instagram (via MadridXtra):

“Always dance, my brother! Always remain true to yourself. This is not a sign of disrespect, therefore resist attempts to take your joy from you!”

Players for the Selecao are known for their outlandish celebrations, with stars like Ronaldinho and Neymar breaking out into their signature dancing moves.

Vinicius, who thrived in the 2021–22 season, is off to a scorching start this year.

In his first eight games, he has five goals and three assists to his name.

The Brazilian’s spectacular rise at the Santiago Bernabeu continues after he scored a dramatic winner in the Champions League final the previous year.

He also played for Real Madrid, which advanced to the finals by defeating Chelsea and Silva’s team in the quarterfinals.

Atleti and Real Madrid are about to square off, with Chelsea’s Silva supporting Vinicius

On Sunday, a match between the two Madrid teams will take place at Wanda Metropolitano. Koke has undoubtedly stoked the fires in advance of the confrontation.

Last year’s match saw both teams win. Atleti lost 1-0 at home, while Real Madrid defeated them 2-0 at the Bernabeu.

The team led by Carlo Ancelotti has had an outstanding start to the new campaign, winning all five of their opening league games.

In contrast, Atleti hasn’t been as convincing as they could be. The Rojiblancos have three victories, one draw, and one defeat.

The two teams faced German competition during the Champions League midweek match. At the Bernabeu, Los Blancos defeated RB Leipzig 2-0.

Due to two late goals, Atleti lost 2-0 at Bayer Leverkusen on the road.

The focus will be on Vincius’ performance and whether or not he performed his Samba celebration.
