In about 48 hours, Chelsea will be back in action after a two week break due to the Queen’s death and the international break.
The last time the blues were in action was in the Uefa Champions League when they drew 1-1 with RB Salzburg in Graham Potter’s first game in charge.
By the time Chelsea resume on the 1st of October, they will be very busy, playing every 3/4 days across different competitions.
The next five matches are going to be very crucial for the club and will almost certainly tell if Graham Potter is competent enough to manage a club like Chelsea after leaving Brighton and Hove Albion to take the big job weeks ago.
Crystal Palace Vs Chelsea
Selhurst Park will be the venue to host Graham Potter’s first Premier League match as Chelsea boss. The Englishman will need to get his team in top shape because that match is going to be vital for the Blues as they try and close the gap between them and their rivals.
AC Milan Vs Chelsea
Next up after Crystal Palace is a trip to Milan in the Uefa Champions League where Chelsea need to win to get their European campaign back on track as they currently sit bottom of their group.
AC Milan are the champions of Italy and currently sit at the top of the UCL group. If Chelsea want to progress to the next round of the competition, they have to get a win.
Chelsea Vs Wolves
Up next is a home fixture against Wolverhampton Wanderers and will be another important fixture for the blues.
Chelsea Vs AC Milan
Back to the Champions league as the blues host the Italian club in the return leg of the Uefa Champions League.
Back to back wins for the 2021 Champions will put them in a fantastic position to qualify from the group after 1 loss and a draw already.
Aston Villa Vs Chelsea
The fifth game of the month comes against Steven Gerard’s Aston Villa side. Chelsea will be expected to get a win here.
Although, this period is going to be a very busy for the blues, they have the squad and team that is good enough to to ensure that they are successful in this period.
If Potter manages to get 5 wins from the 5 matches, then he would have proven that he is a manager good enough to take Chelsea to the next level
