The Chelsea Player That Should’ve Won Man Of The Match Ahead Of Mason Mount

This season’s Uefa Champions League group E has produced one of the most remarkable turn around of the tournament so far. After the first two matches, Chelsea were sitting rock bottom of the group with just 1 point.

But after home and away wins over AC Milan, Chelsea have regained control of their UCL destiny and now sit at the top of the group with seven points.

Last night’s result from the San Siro showed how far Chelsea have come in such a short time under new manager, Graham Potter who was appointed after their shocking loss to Dinamo Zagreb weeks ago.

Two first half goals from Jorginho (penalty) and Aubameyang was enough to see the blues record a big win at the historic San Siro.

After the match, Mason Mount who played only the first half as he was substituted for Connor Gallagher during the break won the Man of the Match after his brilliant performance.

Mount won the penalty for Jorginho’s first goal and was the provider for Aubameyang’s clinical strike.

Although Mason Mount was phenomenal in the first half, I believe another Chelsea player should’ve won the award at full time.

Chelsea captain of the night, Jorginho who was making his 200th appearance for the blues dropped an outstanding performance against the Milanos and should’ve won the Man of the Match ahead of the impressive Mount who only played 45 minutes.

The Italian midfielder did not put a foot wrong against Milan as he completed dominated the midfield and controlled the tempo of the game.

When he was getting ready to take his penalty, a laser was pointed to his face but little did it matter as he expertly sent Tatarasanu the wrong way.
