Chelsea football club will undoubtedly be looking forward to winning one or more trophies under the management of Thomas Tuchel before the end of the season.
The West London club have endured a rather mixed start to the 2021/2022 season despite adding the likes of Romelu Lukaku and Saul Niguez to their squad in the summer.
However, the Blues are still in the title race and are currently sitted in 3rd position on the Premier League table ahead of their next league match against Brighton on Wednesday night.
But now, Chelsea could be rocked with reports that experienced central midfielder Ross Barkley is in line to leave the club when the transfer window opens in January.
The 28-year-old England International, who signed up for Chelsea in 2018 has been in and out of the first-team squad over the previous seasons.
The experienced central midfielder failed to cement a place in the Chelsea first-team squad last season and was sent out on loan to Aston Villa where he scored four goals and created one assist in 27 appearances in all competitions.
Ross Barkley is now back at Chelsea and he has failed to impress this season, making 11 appearances in all competitions for the Blues so far this season.
And despite his poor run of form, Ross Barkley is still not short of suitors and according to reports from The Sun, Premier League side Everton are keen on bringing him back to the club on loan.
The reports further claimed that Everton manager Rafa Bernitez is in need of more midfielders and is looking to sign Ross Barkley on loan in January.
That said, it remains to be seen if Chelsea will be willing to offload Ross Barkley to Everton when the transfer window opens in January as they are currently short on options in that department.
