Massive contract put on table after Chelsea put in big offer ahead of January window

Real Madrid have reportedly offered Antonio Rudiger a better contract than what Chelsea have tabled to the German.

Rudiger, 28, is out of contract at the end of the season and therefore free to talk to foreign teams from as early as January over a potential move away from Stamford Bridge.

There has been alot of interest in a player that has become a big part of the squad at Stamford Bridge, with the likes of PSG, Juventus and even Real Madrid all keeping a very close eye on the developments at Chelsea

However, on the pitch he continues to be brilliant and show just why there is alot of interest in his services, and why Chelsea are keen to try and keep hold ahead of the January transfer window

Recent reports in the media have revealed that Chelsea have made a contract offer to the German for him to stay at the club for the next three seasons, and it is a deal that Rudiger is really considering.

Howevewr, Transfer guru Duncan Castles has said on The Transfer Window podcast that Real have bettered Chelsea’s offer as they look to tempt Rudiger to Madrid.

Madrid are seeking to add a few world class players to the squad in the coming windows and know they could save a good few million with getting Rudiger on a free deal

Look, Chelsea have dragged this out far too long now and not given Rudiger the contract that he wants, and probably deserves. And the fact that he is now regarded as one of the very best central defenders in the game, it is easy to see just why Madrid want him.

If Madrid have offered that big contract, good for them as Rudiger is a world class defender that is now in his prime, and Chelsea losing him would be a massive mistake from the club
