Graham Potter is planning on bringing two Brighton players to Chelsea

Graham Potter, who was just named Chelsea’s manager, has his eyes on two of his former players who he hopes to bring to Stamford Bridge. After Todd Boehly chose to fire Thomas Tuchel, Potter was recently named Chelsea’s manager. This season, the German coach has had trouble motivating his Chelsea team, and a Champions League defeat to Dinamo Zagreb seemed to be only the beginning.

Potter will have to make do with the current team he has been handed now that the transfer window is closed, but when the next one opens, he might raid his old team. Chelsea will reportedly try to recruit Leandro Trossard and Moises Caicedo from Brighton either in January or the following summer, according to Spanish media outlet Fiches.

The summer after this year, Trossard’s contract will expire, and Chelsea might benefit greatly from his versatility. The Belgian has experience playing in a variety of positions, including wingback, up forward, and as a winger, so it’s not surprising that Potter is trying to reunite with his old teammate. With the Ecuadorian still only 20 years old, Caicedo might provide Chelsea with long-term midfield relief when Jorginho and N’Golo Kante’s contracts expire next summer
