Ex-Chelsea star comes from the bench to net the winner for his tea’s in UEL 2-1 comeback home victory.

Chelsea football club of England forward, Pedro Rodriguez was the hero and saviour of the night yesterday for Maurizio Sarri led Lazio team in their penultimate group stage of the current UEFA Europa League season at home against Danish Super Liga giant FC Midtyjlland at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.

The 35 year old football icon started the game from the bench due to tactical reason but was introduced in the 55th minute for Matteo Cancellieri and he was able to make an instant impact, as he got on the score sheet just three minutes after his introduction to give his side the lead after they initially levelled at 1-1 draw.

The first half of the game hanged on the balance between the two sides as there was nothing to separate them going into the half time break which ended one all draw as Gustav Isaksen’s 8th minute opener for the visitor was cancelled out by Sergej Milinkovic-Savic’s 36th minute equalizer for the host.

The host in the second half were able to be in charge as they stepped up their game with some more physical, tactical and technical displays after coming from behind to get levelled and as such got the lead in the 58th minute with a goal from Pedro Rodriguez to make it two goals to one.

After every other attempts from both sides to add more to the tally of the night, all were not successful as it ended two goals to one at full time.

Pedro Rodriguez with his great influx of influence in the game will be hoping to keep his impressive goal scoring form going in their next game so as to secure a spot in the next round of the competition, as any of the four teams in the group could still make it through with only three point separating them.
