Every Chelsea First Team Player Who Has Been Called Up for Int’l Duty in the Current Int’l Break



Chelsea has had an unstable start to the season so far. They started the English Premier League season with a win but despite their huge summer investments in players, they have still flattered to deceive.

  This led to the sack of Thomas Tuchel a few weeks ago and the appointment of former Brighton and Hove Albion manager, Graham Potter. It is obvious that Boehly is trying to restructure the club and build it in his own image. Despite the unstable state of the club, some players have still impressed enough to be called up to their national teams ahead of the international break, which is the last before the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Teams in Europe would be looking to get favourable results in the UEFA Nations League as the group stage of the competition will be rounded up in this international break while Chelsea’s players outside of Europe would be featuring in international    17 of Chelsea’s first-team players have been called up for the international break. Mason Mount, Raheem Sterling, Reece James, and Ben Chilwell have all been called up to England’s national team while Conor Gallagher and Wesley Fofana have been called up to England and France’s U21   Armando Broja would be lining up for Albania as they play against Israel away on Saturday and Iceland at home on Tuesday. Mateo Kovacic has been called up to the Croatian national team for games against Denmark at home on Thursday and Austria away on.

Kai Havertz would be playing for Germany as they lock horns with Hungary at home on Friday and England away on Monday. Italy has called up Jorginho for games against England at home on Friday and Hungary away on Monday. Spain has called up Cesar Azpilicueta as they play against Switzerland at home on Saturday and Portugal away on Tuesday.


Switzerland: Denis Zakaria – Spain away on Saturday and Czech Republic at home on Tuesday.

Brazil: Thiago Silva – Ghana on Friday and Tunisia on Tuesday (both in France).

Ghana: Baba Rahman – Brazil on Friday (in France) and Nicaragua on Tuesday (in Spain).

Morocco: Hakim Ziyech – Chile on Friday and Paraguay on Tuesday (both in Spain).


Senegal: Kalidou Koulibaly – Bolivia on Saturday (in France) and Iran on Tuesday (in Austria).

USA: Christian Pulisic – Japan on Friday (in Germany) and Saudi Arabia on Tuesday (in Spain.
