Chelsea’s Next 2 Games That May See Them Drop Points

Chelsea are currently in the title race with other top clubs as they are keen on winning the Premier League and other trophies this season. Chelsea’s next 2 games may see them drop points as they would face tough opponents.

1) Arsenal (H)

Potter will be relieved to be back at Stamford Bridge after a run of five straight away games, especially after a match that won’t net him much in the way of tangible reward.

There won’t be a break, though, when high-flying Arsenal, who haven’t dropped a game there since 2018, comes to Stamford Bridge. The Gunners, one of the top teams in the table, are still upbeat despite having a rough week. A loss might cause them to fall farther behind in the standings, so Potter needs to be ready for his first home London derby. A victory, however, may save the season.

2) Man City (A)

Players must be prepared for a huge Carabao Cup test before one of the most difficult games on the schedule, which is just three days before the World Cup break.

The league and World Cup are arguably far more important here, so it wouldn’t be shocking to see both managers utilize a heavily rotated lineup. If Manchester City hadn’t drawn them, this would have been a good chance to rest players before heading to Newcastle; as it stands, a journey away before another protracted trip up north is exactly what Chelsea doesn’t need right now.
