Chelsea’s January Fixtures: Four Games Tuchel Might Lose If He Doesn’t

It is definitely going to be a busy new year for Chelsea who are set to play in three major competitions in just one month.

Chelsea will play six times in the space of 31 days – Tottenham, Manchester City, Liverpool all piled up for the West London side.

Considering Chelsea’s poor form in recent games, it wouldn’t come as a shock if they fail to win some of those games in January.

Chelsea have conceded at least a goal in each of their last six Premier Leagues. Tuchel’s defensive record in recent games is embarrassing and that is one weakness their opponents would be prepared to exploit in future games.

We will take a look at Chelsea’s fixture pile up in January and four games Thomas Tuchel is likely going to lose.

-Chelsea Vs Liverpool (Premier League: 2nd January, 2022)

Chelsea is currently eight points behind the current leaders, Manchester City, at the top of the Premier League table.

However, the situation is possibly going to change after the next round of games. Chelsea is set to face Liverpool while Manchester City will be up against Arsenal.

Thomas Tuchel might drop all three points against Liverpool at Stamford Bridge if he doesn’t solve his defensive problems.

-Chelsea Vs Tottenham (Carabao Cup Semifinal first-leg: Wednesday, 5th January, 2022)

This is another game Thomas Tuchel might find it difficult to win. With Son and Harry Kane back to their best under Antonio Conte, Chelsea defenders aren’t in a good shape to stop them.

-Chelsea Vs Chesterfield (FA Cup: Saturday 8th January, 2022)

-Tottenham Vs Chelsea (Carabao Cup Semi-final 2nd leg: Wednesday 12th January, 2022)

Thomas Tuchel’s might just another negative result in the second leg of his Carabao Cup Semi-final clash with the Antonio Conte’s men.

-Manchester City Vs Chelsea (Premier League: 15th January, 2022)

It wouldn’t be surprising if Chelsea lose this crucial game at the Etihad Stadium. Manchester City is in such a great form this season and getting a win against a vulnerable Chelsea team would come easy.
