Chelsea are ready to cash in on winger Christian Pulisic in the upcoming January transfer window after the US international failed to impress manager Thomas Tuchel.
According to Fichajes, Pulisic has also been told to find a new club as soon as possible, with Chelsea interested in recouping most of the €64m they had forked out on the player a few years ago.
Pulisic’s current contract with Chelsea will expire in 2024.
But it will not be surprising to see the 23-year-old star leave Chelsea in January 2022.
Since the start of last campaign, Pulisic has scored only six goals in the Premier League for the Blues.
While Pulisic’s form has been an issue, injuries have not been kind on him either, with the latest ankle issue keeping him out for almost two months.
As a result, Pulisic has fallen behind the likes of Kai Havertz, Timo Werner, Mason Mount and Callum Hudson-Odoi in Tuchel’s pecking order.
Pulisic joined Chelsea from Borussia Dortmund in 2019.
There are reports from various verifiable sources that Chelsea’s striker, Romelu Lukaku is kin to exit from Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea come next summer.
Just last August, Chelsea broke bank to sign the Belgium forward, Romelu Lukaku, from the Italian champions, Inter Milan. He was signed to become the top striker in Thomas Tuchel’s team. Timo Werner’s inconsistency has been a great concern.
However, since Lukaku joined the Blues, he has been struggling to find a great form at Stamford Bridge. Hakim Ziyech, Kai Havertz, and even Timo Werner have taken up Lukaku’s place I’m Thomas Tuchel’s first eleven.
In an open discussion with The Athletic, Lukaku directly revealed that he will like to return to Italy where he was scoring many goals and where he won trophies. Lukaku further stated that:
“Next summer, I might return to Italy and maybe play for Inter Milan.”
Well, it is obvious that Lukaku is not fit into the architecture of Chelsea’s team as built by Thomas Tuchel. He has been struggling to make impact.
Apart from his first three games with Chelsea, he has been seriously struggling. Some have argued that it was because of the injury he had.
I completely disagree with that view. Before the injury, Lukaku has been struggling to either goals or at least give assist.
He currently has a total of four goals since he returned to Chelsea. The likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Jack Grealish have gone far ahead of Lukaku.
The only reason Lukaku may be considering to exit from the Stamford Bridge is because of his struggling form. In addition, to return to Inter Milan may be associated with the extent to which he performed extremely well.
At Inter Milan, Lukaku won the Italian Serie A, scored so many goals in a season, and had a stable place in the team.
In my opinion, Lukaku should exit the club immediately because his situation may worsen
