Chelsea supporters praise their players after they drew Wolves

Due to COVID-19 and injuries, the Blues were without multiple first-team players. The match, however, went on as arranged after the Premier League declined to postpone it.

The west London heavyweights failed to put the Wolves’ defense to the test due to a weakened roster. In the end, they only got one shot on target. Christian Pulisic wasted a clear shot at a victory.

Despite this, there were a few outstanding features to the game. Since a 4-0 win over Juventus at the end of November, the Blues haven’t kept a clean sheet in any tournament.

Kante and Mateo Kovacic have both recovered from their injuries. He won nine of his eleven duels and was possibly Chelsea’s finest player on the field yesterday.

The Frenchman also had two tackles and two interceptions to go along with his five takeaways. He was a notable performance for the Blues with his continuous forward dashes to link with the attacking attackers.

Some Chelsea fans were overjoyed by his performance, as seen by the following tweets:

Chelsea are further away from the top of the Premier League table after draw with Wolves

Kante showed no signs of tiredness during the 90 minutes and came close to scoring the game-winning goal.

In the waning embers of the game, Conor Coady came up with a stunning last-ditch challenge to deny the French star a goal-scoring opportunity.

Chelsea has now dropped four points in a row following straight draws. They are presently six points behind league leaders Manchester City, who have won eight consecutive games.

Timo Werner, Romelu Lukaku, and Callum Hudson-Odoi, who have all tested positive for COVID-19, were also absent for Chelsea. In the game against Wolves, it left Thomas Tuchel with no attacking solutions.

On Wednesday, Brentford will host the Blues in the Carabao Cup quarterfinals. Because of the rising number of coronavirus illnesses within the roster, it’s questionable whether the game will go on as planned.

Chelsea will then face Aston Villa in the Premier League on December 26 at Villa Park. They’ll be aiming to get back on track following a string of poor outings.
