Chelsea Summer Signing Denis Zakaria has admitted that he understands the level of competitiveness that exist at the West London club. The Dutchman made a last minute move to Chelsea on the last day of summer transfer window from Juventus.

The Blues had a midfield crisis earlier this season and despite their best effort to sign Frenkie De Jong and Edson Alvarez before the summer transfer window closed, they couldn’t get any of them. This made them to turn to Juventus for a loan deal for Denis Zakaria.

Since his transfer to West London about 40 days ago, Denis Zakaria is yet to make any appearance in Chelsea jersey. Aubameyang that arrived on the same day as Denis Zakaria has already made 4 appearances for the Blues.

According to Adam Newson who’s Chelsea’s Correspondent For Football London, Denis Zakaria understands that Chelsea is a big club and he must fight his way into the starting lineup.

He said: “If you don’t do good, you don’t have the chance to stay. Chelsea is a big club and if you are not good enough, you can’t stay at this club. I’m here to prove that I deserve to be here, that I am a good player and I can help the team
