CHE vs ARS: Predicted Arsenal & Chelsea XI Arteta and Potter Should Use In The London Derby
Arsenal will be looking to maintain their top spot in the Premier League when they take on London rivals Chelsea, the blues have had a shaky season so far and a defeat to Arsenal will be devastating.
Going into the game both managers will be looking to field their best players, Arsenal will be boosted by the return of Zinchecko, Elneny and Bukayo Saka who picked up a knock against Nottingham Forest, the likes of Matt Turner, Emile Smith Rowe and Tomiyasu will miss the game due to injury.
Chelsea also had their injury worries but the likes Koulibaly, Zakaria, Kovacic and Kepa Arrizabalaga are available for the game, their biggest absentee is Ngolo Kante, he is injured untill after the world cup.
It’s now clear which players are available for the game, in other to win the game both managers will have to deploy their best team whilst also considering the technical, attacking and defensive balance of the team.
Graham Potter has a talented team but they are no where near this Arsenal team as a unit and in terms of attacking threat, here is my predicted Chelsea team.
Goalkeeper: despite Kepa Arrizabalaga’s availability, Edouard Mendy should get the nod ahead of the Spaniard.
Defenders: A solid and experienced defence will be needed to keep the young, energetic and deadly Arsenal attack, Marc Cucurella, Thiago Silva, Chalobah and Azpilicueta should get the nod.
Midfielders: Dennis Zakaria has been brilliant on his return, a double pivot of him and Kovacic will be brilliant against Partey and Xhaka, while Mason Mount gets the furthest midfield role.
Attackers: Raheem Sterling, Pulisic and Aubameyang should get the nod for a three man attack.
Mikel Arteta’s team has been very predictable for the most part of the season and we are expecting no change to the starting XI, however Mikel Arteta might pull of another tactical change just like he did with Tomiyasu against Liverpool.
Predicted Arsenal Starting XI:
Aaron Ramsdale, Zinchecko, Gabriel Magalhaes, William Saliba, Ben White, Granit Xhaka, Thomas Partey, Martin Odegaard, Bukayo, Gabriel Martinelli, Jesus.
Tomiyasu is injured and likely to miss the game, Kieran Tierney should get the nod, but I am counting on Arteta to start Zinchecko
