Now that the summer transfer window is nearing its very end, several European football clubs are still very much interested in securing more signings that will help further improve their current squad.
Barcelona football club are not quite exempted though as they look to challenge the likes of Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid for the prestigious LaLiga title this season.
The Camp Nou side have already secured the signings of several players including Sergio Aguero and Memphis Depay to improve the current squad available to manager Ronald Koeman.
However, the LaLiga giants could now be rocked with reports that young central midfielder Ilaix Moriba is set to leave the club before the transfer window closes.
The 18-year-old Guinea International, who joined Barcelona after leaving Espanyol in 2010 has recently found his way into the Barcelona first team.
The young central midfielder was particularly involved last season where he made 14 LaLiga appearances, scoring one goal and providing three assists in total.
However, Ilaix Moriba has less than a year on his current contract with Barcelona and due to his refusal to extend his stay, he could now be on his way out of the club this summer.
The young central midfielder has attracted interest from Premier League side Chelsea, but according to reports from popular newsletter The Sun, Tottenham Hotspur are now ready to beat Chelsea to his signature.
It is believed that Tottenham Hotspur are keen on improving their options in midfield and are ready to bid £17million in order to lure him away from Barcelona.
That said, it remains to be seen if Barcelona will be interested in cashing in on Ilaix Moriba now, or risk losing him on a free transfer when his contract runs out next summer.
