How The Month Of October Could Make Or Break Chelsea In This Season

The 2022/23 Season, at Chelsea, hasn’t been going well enough as the West Londoner anticipated. After going on a spending spree during the last summer transfer which saw the Blues breaking the record for highest expenses made in the English Premier league ever with the arrival of Raheem Sterling, Kalidou Koulibaly, Marc Cucurella, Wesley Fofana and Pierre Emerick Aubameyang permanently while Denis Zakaria joined on a temporary basis, Chelsea hasn’t gotten the desired result.

The Blues have won just 3 League games this season and they have already lost 2 while drawing 1 in the 6 League games that they have played. It’s worst in the UCL as Chelsea is yet to win any game.

The European Leagues are currently on their first international break of the season but when they resume, Chelsea has a busy fixture schedule, and that period could essentially determine how far Chelsea will stay in the contest to win any of the titles that matter this season English Premier league and UEFA Champions League.

Chelsea are currently on the 7th position on the League table. In October, they will play 6 League games and another 3 games in the UEFA Champions League, that’s about 9 games within 29 days.

Chelsea will take on Crystal Palace, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Aston Villa, Brentford, Manchester United and Brighton in October. They will also play against AC Milan, twice and against Red Bull Salzburg.

Having consecutive League games is a chance for the Blues to rack up points and move to the top of the table but, it could also see them slump or nosedive in the League. Chelsea might also get bumped out of the UCL tournament at the group stage within that space of time or they could overturn their fortune and secure a ticket for the UCL Knockout rounds.
