6 Chelsea loan stars who were superb for their club sides this weekend



1. Billy Gilmour (Norwich City)

Billy Gilmour produced another outstanding display in midfield for Norwich City in their goalless draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The diminutive Scottish midfielder picked up his second consecutive Man of the Match award for his stellar display in the middle of the park.

2. Daniel Drinkwater (Reading FC) 

Drinkwater was the hero of the day for Reading FC as he provided an assist and also grabbed the winning goal in an enthralling 3-2 victory over Swansea City in the Championship.

3. Abdul Baba Rahman (Reading FC)

The Ghanaian left back was also part of the Reading FC team that defeated Swansea City on Saturday afternoon.

4. Nathan Baxter (Hull City)

Nathan Baxter has been a bright spark for Hull City since his temporary switch from Chelsea. The 23 year old English shot stopper had come in and bagged 3 wins and 3 clean sheets before this weekend. Although his run of clean sheets came to an end on Saturday, Nathan still helped Hull City to a 4th win in a row, the streak starting when he came into the starting XI.

5. Ian Maatsen (Coventry City)

Ian Maatsen started for Coventry City as they faced a huge test against Bournemouth who are 2nd place in the Championship. The teenage left back and his team were able to hold the Cherries to a 2-2 draw and maintain their place in the playoff spots on the Championship table.

6. Emerson Palmeiri (Olympique Lyon)

The EURO 2020 winner helped Lyon to a clean sheet in their narrow win away to Montpellier in the French Ligue 1 on Sunday night.
